Five Seconds To Destruction
There's been a terrible accident at the World's Power Plant, the nuclear fusion reactor on the Moon responsible for generating all of Earth's power. Only five minutes remain until the plant goes supernova, destroying the Moon and humanity's future along with it. But there is still hope, because YOU are on the scene! Equipped with an ultra high-tech Magnetic Hook Suit you must leap inside of the failing reactor core and prevent it from exploding. There are 3 ways to solve this problem and they are all dangerous to the extreme, so be careful and good luck. Whatever you do you'd better move fast, because life as we know it is about to EXPLODE! This is my official entry to the Gamma IV one-button game design competition for GDC 2010. Click on the above image to play the game, or click here to download the entire package. Note that the splash screen tells you to press 'A' to start the game, but actually you use the SPACE bar to control everything. This is because the game is meant to be controlled via an XBox 360 controller using only the A-button, as part of the competition's rules. View the README for full details. |

Armageddon ApocalypseThe fallen corpses of alien enemies are your only defense in this over-the-top space shooter! The Mac OSX version features Nintendo® Wiimote support via Wiiji. v2.0: My official IGF contest entry! This is fleshed out version of the previous demo. with an intro story, 3 levels and a boss. v1.0: This demo shows off a few basic features of the QBlock engine: particle systems, animation, scrolling tilemaps, menus, and more. It is also a demonstration of how QBlock can be used to prototype a new game idea in very little time. After coming up with a basic design for this game, working alone I was able to play it within two days. The full demo took about a week.
Please note that I develop all of my software in OSX and have no access to a Windows machine, so results may vary for Win32 users. |
